How to make Vietnamese fried sweet potato ( khoai lang chien )
Today I will show you how to make Vietnamese fried sweet potato, khoai lang chien ^^. Fried sweet potato is a traditional snack and chip in Vietnam, especially in the south of Vietnam, where I was living and growing up.
Ingredients ( serving for 2-4 people):
_650-700 gram of sweet potato
_380 gram plain flour
_180 ml of water
_8 tablespoons of sugar
_1 teaspoons of salt
_10 gram sesame (*optional)
_5 gram Korean red chilli flakes (*optional)
Step 1: we need to peel the potato and wash the sweet potatoes again with water before cut it. |
Step 2: cut the sweet potatoes in French fries style but bigger ^^ |
Step 3: mix plain flour, sugar, salt, sesame and chili flakes in the mixing bowl. |
Step 4: we carefully add water and mix this combinent until it looks thick like this. |
Step 5: put the sweet potatoes and the combinent in the mixing bowl and carefully mix it |
Step 6: put the oil in the pan and turn the heat on medium heat. |
Step 7: put the sweet potatoes in the pan and fry these until these look a little bit golden, then turn the heat to low and fry these until these look golden brown. |
Step 8: Finally, we have the sweet potato chips to eat now ^^ |
